Python / Automation Developer Intern (Part-time)
We are looking for a motivated Master’s student in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on Python development. This internship is ideal for someone passionate about backend development, automation, and modern engineering practices.
You will work closely with experienced developers, automation engineers, and a dedicated onsite buddy who will guide you throughout your internship. You will gain hands on experience with Python backend development, Linux environments, PostgreSQL, Git workflows, automation tools, and digitalization initiatives across the organization.
This internship offers a long term professional growth path, with the potential to become a Junior Python Developer, Data Engineer, or Data Scientist after graduation.
Python / Automation Developer Intern (Part-time)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain Python-based backend components for data science, automation, integration, and digitalization tasks.
- Build and enhance internal tools, scripts, and micro services used across business and IT teams.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases: querying, data modeling support, and basic performance tuning.
- Deploy and operate scripts on Linux server environments, including scheduling through cron jobs.
- Build and support automations using tools like Power Automate, n8n, or similar orchestrators.
- Work with webhooks, REST APIs, and integration endpoints to connect internal systems and external services.
- Use Git for version control, branching, code reviews, and collaborative development.
- Support senior engineers with backend development, automation improvements, and data processing tasks.
- Take ownership of small development or automation modules as you grow.
- Continuously learn new technologies and engineering practices.
What we expect from you:
- Master’s student in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
- Strong foundation in Python programming (backend scripting, automation, API development, or data handling).
- Interest in backend development with an appetite to write clean, scalable, maintainable code.
- Analytical mindset, structured problem solving, and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate within a team.
- English at a working proficiency level.
Curiosity or basic understanding of:
- Linux servers, command line operations, cron scheduling
- PostgreSQL or relational databases
- Webhooks, APIs, and integration concepts
- Git and version control workflows
- Automation tools (Power Automate, n8n, etc.)
Nice to Have
- Deeper experience with SQL (joins, optimization, stored procedures).
- Familiarity with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Experience with automation or workflow tools (Power Automate, n8n, Blue Prism, Airflow).
- Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, or cloud basics.
- Exposure to data pipelines or exploratory data analysis.
